For more than 25 years, volunteers have come from the ends of the earth to serve the nation of Israel and the worldwide church through the work and ministry of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. Today, over 30 full-time staff members make up the Embassy 'family' giving freely of their talents and resources to work in our Jerusalem headquarters while braving the trials and dangers of life in the Middle East. Many have sacrificed promising careers, homes, finances and friends to answer Christ's call to come.

Originating from more than a dozen different nations and speaking as many languages, ICEJ staff members represent a varied cross-section of educational, family and cultural backgrounds. All are united, however, with a single purpose to see the Kingdom of God manifest in the world in these days, and to follow the biblical injunction of Isaiah 40 to comfort God's people Israel.

The ICEJ brings a dynamic blend of energy and experience to all aspects of its ministry. College-age young adults, retired professionals, and parents with young children serve side-by-side within the framework of regular worship and prayer. We welcome applications from prospective volunteers of any background, ethnicity or age, be they single, married, with children or without.

ICEJ Directors

Executive Director
Dr. Juergen Buehler

Juergen joined the staff of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem in 1999 and in 2011 was appointed as the ministry's Executive Director.

Juergen was also a founding member of the “Christliches Forum für Israel” (Christian Forum for Israel), a German umbrella group of Christian Zionist organizations.

He is an ordained minister of the German Pentecostal Federation (BfP).  His grasp of biblical theology and his unique insight into issues relating to Israel, the church and the nations have placed him in great demand as a speaker all over the world.

In addition to his other responsibilities, Juergen has remained an active member of the King of Kings Assembly in Jerusalem, and has served on the congregation's board from 1994 to 2010.

He and his wife Vesna live in Jerusalem and have three young sons and a daughter.

Rev. Malcolm Hedding

From November 2000 until July 2011, Reverend Malcolm Hedding served as the Executive Director of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem after serving as an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God of South Africa for 25 years.

Malcolm has a long relationship and love for Jerusalem and Israel. From 1986 to 1989, he served in Jerusalem as ICEJ Chaplain, and on the pastoral staff of the Jerusalem Christian Assembly, now the King of Kings Assembly.

Upon his return to South Africa in 1989, Malcolm founded the Olive Tree Assembly of God in Durban. He has been a seminar teacher and plenary speaker at the ICEJ's annual Christian Celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem and at other Embassy-sponsored events. He has also been an active member of the ICEJ Association, and traveled extensively as a "spokesman" of the ministry at the invitation of the international branches.

In February 2001, Malcolm was invited to chair the 4th Christian Congress on Biblical Zionism in Jerusalem, having been heralded as one of the foremost Zionist theologians in Christianity, with a profound understanding of Israel's role in Eschatology. Since 1991 he has also served as Chairman of "Christian Action for Israel", a biblical Zionist organization.

Malcolm lives with his wife Cheryl in Murfreesboro, TN where Malcolm serves on the pastoral staff of World Outreach Church. They have three children, and three grandchildren.
