Frontpage Jerusalem Radio

Word From Zion, October 6, 2014

On this week's program, we're focusing on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles. Israelis are now marking this fall harvest festival, and all across the nation Israelis have built small huts or booths to recall God's provision during the 40 long years of wanderings in the Wilderness. It is also a festive time of joy and what makes it extra special is that thousands of Christians are also coming up each year to Jerusalem to mark this biblical holiday. Sponsored by the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem, the Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles is Israel's largest annual tourist event. So we want to start out with some biblical insights on Sukkot from Dr. Juergen Buehler, the executive director of the Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.

Over the past 120 years or so, more than 3.5 million Jews have returned to Israel from over 100 nations worldwide. And very soon, more than half the world's Jews will be living back in the land of their forefathers. Now the Bible foresaw this modern-day Ingathering long ago, but just how accurate were the Hebrew prophets in the way they predicted it would happen? Here’s Front Page senior producer David Parsons with some fascinating insights into just how precise God has been in keeping His promises to restore the Jews to their land in the last days.
