Yom HaAtzmaut 2020 – Israel’s 72nd Independence Day!

Today, Tuesday April 28th is Yom HaZikaron, which is Israel’s Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers. But beginning at sundown this day of mourning and remembrance turns into a great celebration of Yom HaAtzmaut, which is Israel’s Independence Day!

Every year on Israel’s Independence Day, the streets of Jerusalem are packed with people dancing and singing, along with fireworks and concerts throughout the night. But this year due to COVID-19, the streets will be empty and everyone will celebrate in their homes.

ICEJ staff from around the world are here to help Israel celebrate this Independence in a special way! Watch this video and join us in celebrating Israel as the nations say, “Happy Independence Day Israel” in their native language!
