Iranian Official Brags About Plans to Attack Israel
A former official with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps boasted to the semi-official Fars News Agency Saturday that "Only seven minutes is needed for the Iranian missile to hit Tel Aviv." The statement came amidst a large-scale test of Iran’s missiles and radar systems which was conducted in defiance of a stark warning from the US that such activities violate UN Security Council resolutions and would not be tolerated.

US President Donald Trump tweeted that the Islamic Republic is “playing with fire” and his national security advisor, Michael Flynn, told reporters that “The international community has been too tolerant of Iran’s bad behavior. The ritual of convening a United Nations Security Council in an emergency meeting and issuing a strong statement is not enough.”

The US issued new sanctions in recent days against several individuals and entities connected to the missile tests, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters before boarding his aircraft to fly to London Sunday afternoon for meetings with the British government that Iran was engaging in “aggression” which could not be ignored.

“I think the most important thing right now is that countries, led by the US, and with Israel and Britain, stand together against Iranian aggression and set clear boundaries,” he declared.
