Tensions Running High on Israel-Gaza Border
IDF engineers on Thursday destroyed a terror attack tunnel originating in the Gazan city of Khan Yunis and running under the border with Israel to a distance of 200 meters underneath Israeli territory, the 15th such tunnel Israel has discovered and destroyed in the last year. Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said the tunnel’s destruction shows that Israel "never stops working for a minute, above and under the ground. The terror tunnel we destroyed this morning is another tunnel which will not serve Hamas in the next campaign."

A few hours earlier on Thursday morning, the IDF announced that “an interceptor missile was fired from the Iron Dome system as a result of an incorrect identification…there were no launches from the Gaza Strip toward Israeli territory.”

In related news, the PX Commission of the Executive Board of UNESCO adopted two resolutions under the title "Occupied Palestine" which said, among other things, that the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem are "an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian territory" and adding a statement of condemnation over the deployment of security measures in the area by Israel, saying these measures are "aimed at altering the character, status and demographic composition of the Occupied Palestinian territory."

The resolutions  also included statements condemning Israel for a variety of other things.
