US Official Says Decision on US Embassy Will Come Later
A US official told the Jerusalem Post on Thursday that President Donald Trump will base a decision on whether or not to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem based in part on what he sees during his visit to the country next week. "Contrary to media reports, President Trump has not yet made a decision on moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, and doesn't plan on making a decision on this issue until after his visit," the official said.

In related news, a pledge to reject the international effort to Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) Israel has been signed by the governors of all 50 US States. The the Governors United Against BDS statement, a project of the American Jewish Committee, declares in part that that “the goals of the BDS movement are antithetical to our values and the values of our respective states, our support for Israel as a vital U.S. ally, important economic partner and champion of freedom.” The document also reaffirms these States “support for Israel as a vital U.S. ally, important economic partner and champion of freedom.”

“[O]ur nation’s 50 governors, as well as the District of Columbia mayor, recognize the pernicious goals of the BDS movement, which singles out Israel from among all the nations of the world for relentless and undue criticism, and whose efforts undermine the prospects for advancing Israeli-Palestinian peace,” AJC CEO David Harris said on Wednesday.

Latin Music Artist to Play in Israel
The movement to Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) Israel suffered another defeat this week when Carel Kraayenhof, an internationally celebrated bandoneon player and an icon of the Latin music scene announced he will soon be arriving in the Jewish State to play a series of concerts with the Israel Chamber Orchestra.  “The bandoneon mixes very well with the sound of the strings – violins, cello, double bass – and the piano,” Kraayenhof said. “It is similar to jazz bands in the US.”

Netanyahu Hosts Aerosmith in Jerusalem
A day after their crowd-pleasing concert in Tel Aviv, the members of legendary American Rock & Roll band Aerosmith visited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his office in Jerusalem. The visit was filled with warmth and humor as Netanyahu led them on a brief tour, explaining the significance of some of the building’s historic displays and telling his guests “you don't want to miss a thing" during their planned tour of tourist attractions and historic sites around the country.

Hamas Enabler Indicted in Beersheeba
The Beersheba Magistrate’s Court indicted a 59-year old woman from the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip Thursday for the role she played in attempting to smuggle explosives into Israel while assisting her sister, who was given permission to enter Israel for cancer treatments. The explosives were discovered in bags the two women were carrying while being transported through a checkpoint on the Gaza-Israel border.

“The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, including Hamas, continue to exploit the humanitarian and medical assistance provided by Israel to the residents of the Gaza Strip in order to perpetrate terrorist attacks in Israel,” the Shin Bet said.
